Panther City Riots is an Alternative Rock band from Fort Worth, Tx curated and fronted by Matt Shelton (Previously from Letter Kills (Island/DefJam Records) and The Wedding (Tooth & Nail Records).
After touring for over 12 years and playing with bands like The Used, Story of the Year, My Chemical Romance, Anberlin, Korn, Taking Back Sunday, Underoath, Fall Out Boy and feature tours like Van’s Warped Tour and Nintendo Fusion Tour, Matt came off the road to serve and work at a local church in his hometown, Fort Worth, Tx. In 2019, he began to write again and felt a musical spark he couldn't help but chase and without career aspirations or fan filters in front of him, and no one expecting anything... the Riots were born. He built a new sound around the city and pop culture that had hooked him since he was a kid. A sound that crosses genres and decades and will get your fist in the air and steal the voice from your lungs. What started just as an outlet,” became too magical to keep for himself.
